Terms & Conditions

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please read and understand all Terms & Conditions set out herein. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions as set out herein.

1. DEFINITIONS

  • Appliance: The Coway product selected and ordered by the Customer, including any goods, merchandise, or display items showcased on the Website.
  • Coway: Coway India Private Ltd., including its Affiliates, successors, and permitted assigns.
  • Customer: The person or organization purchasing the Appliance and Service.
  • Location: The installation address provided by the Customer.
  • Services: The free-of-charge maintenance service during the initial 12 months from purchase, and any additional paid maintenance services selected thereafter.

2. PAYMENT & REFUND POLICY

  • Payment: A one-time payment for the Appliance must be made via credit/debit card, UPI, or other approved methods upon acceptance of these Terms. Partial payments are not accepted.
  • Refund: Customers are entitled to a refund provided a written cancellation request is submitted and accepted prior to the installation of the Appliance. The refund will be processed within fourteen (14) days to the original payment mechanism. Customers are not entitled to a refund after installation.

3. DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION

  • Coway will deliver and install the Appliance at the designated Location. Coway reserves the right to refuse installation outside of Mumbai.
  • The first delivery and installation are provided at no additional charge.
  • If a booster pump is needed (e.g., due to low water pressure), all costs for the pump and installation are borne by the Customer.
  • Installation will only proceed after all payments are made, the Location is verified suitable (feed water must not exceed TDS 2000 ppm), and the Customer approves the proposed installation.

4. CANCELLATION POLICY

  • If a Customer wishes to cancel after the purchase day or after an installation appointment is set, a written request with valid reasons must be submitted directly to the sales person.
  • If cancelled on the day of purchase (before 11:59 PM) and before an appointment is made, it can be cancelled directly via the e-Mall platform.
  • Coway reserves the right to cancel any order at its discretion, including if the Appliance becomes unavailable, and will issue a full refund without interest.

5. WARRANTY AND REPAIR

  • The warranty period commences on the Installation Date and lasts for one (1) year, covering defects due to faulty workmanship or materials.
  • Exclusions: The warranty strictly excludes damages caused by natural disasters, contaminated water sources (mineral components/petrochemicals), unauthorized repairs or modifications, usage of third-party filters, failure to carry out routine maintenance, or damages caused by pests/pets.
  • All in-warranty repair work will be conducted at no additional cost. Coway has the absolute discretion to determine if repair work should occur at the Location or if the unit must be taken to a service center.

6. COWAY HEART SERVICE (MAINTENANCE)

  • Coway provides maintenance Services free-of-charge for the initial one (1) year from the purchase date, based on recommended service intervals.
  • After 12 months, Customers can subscribe to a paid Services membership for 1 or 2 years. Customers opting for a 2-year paid membership at the time of initial purchase will receive a 20% discount.
  • Additional fees may apply if extra services are required due to improper use, use of unauthorized filters, or highly contaminated water sources.

7. APPLIANCE EXCHANGE & RELOCATION

  • Exchange: A one-to-one exchange is available if the Customer identifies defects within seven (7) days of installation AND Coway determines the Appliance is not immediately repairable.
  • Relocation: Prior written consent from Coway is required to relocate the Appliance. Coway handles the dismantling and reinstallation, but all associated costs are borne by the Customer.

8. USER COMMENTS, FEEDBACK & SUBMISSIONS

  • If the Customer submits reviews, ideas, or suggestions ("Comments") to Coway, Coway may freely edit, copy, publish, and distribute them without any obligation to pay compensation or maintain confidentiality.
  • Customers agree that their Comments will not violate third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy), contain unlawful, abusive, or obscene material, or contain malware. Coway reserves the right to remove any objectionable content.

9. PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • The Customer consents to the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of their personal data as outlined in Coway India's Privacy Policy (available at www.coway.com.in/privacy-notice).

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & FORCE MAJEURE

  • Coway shall not be liable for any non-performance or delay due to events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, epidemics, war, or public utility failures.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coway and its authorized personnel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the Appliance or Services, nor for damages resulting from improper Customer use, negligence, or unauthorized modifications.

11. GOVERNING LAW AND MISCELLANEOUS

  • Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
  • Coway reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms at any time by posting changes on the Coway website.
  • These Terms supersede all prior written and oral agreements.

12. DISCLAIMER

  • Coway does not collaborate with third-party online shopping platforms or retail chains to promote or sell our Appliances. Coway does not accept responsibility for Appliances offered through unauthorized third-party platforms.
